Labor Day

Trains and School

Story by Oren Teich September 2nd, 2014

Trains!

This weekend was about trains and school for us. Saturday was over to Ardenwood for their annual train weekend. Old little steam trains, hand cars, model trains galore, and 2HP gas engines running away. Monday we headed over to Sunol to check out Niles Canyon Railway Labor Day steam train event. Old skool trains, tons of kids, and 95 degree heat. What isn’t to love!?

Loved ardenwood as usual. The handcar was fun, the little flag someone gave Beckett super cute.

Niles Canyon Railway on Monday was… interesting. Super hot, super crowded, and a ride down a railway that parallels a major road, it wasn’t the most existing way to spend 90 minutes. It had it’s highlights - walking around the train, getting off to see it do a drive by, and stuffing our faces with all the great food we brought.

1st Day of School

This morning B was off to his first day of school. I took a quick few minutes for a photo shoot. Of course he had to ham it up the entire time. I especially like the politician speech he gave.
